Night time drinks and supper snacks
All our meal plans work on a four- week rotation which changes for each season. To ensure we provide a wide variety of enjoyable ‘home cooked’ food for all our residents, choices are always available at each meal time.
ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL
At Rosevilla Residential Home we encourage all our residents to live as full and interesting life as possible, and as much as is possible, on their terms.
Our varied programme of activities are designed to be meaningful to the individual and are based on personal preference, choice and having good fun! Activities include jenga, chair based bowling and crafts, parachute exercises, reminiscence, quizzes, music evenings, gardening, pamper days and bingo. We have great links with our local schools and attend them to show off the resident’s art work- they are treated like local celebrities. We have a regular singer who comes and encourages the residents to reminisce with music.
We also have a seasonal programme of events which includes: Summer barbeques, Halloween parties, Summer Fayre, Tea dances, Fundraising coffee mornings, pamper days, Christmas events and Carol singing.
Our private mini-bus offers outings and day trips. For those residents less able to get out and about we have regular visits from local church ministers and social groups. We have a facebook page to showcase what we’re up to so that families can get in on the action too.
Our garden, courtyard and surrounding land is peaceful and sheltered so that residents can feel at home outside and often is the scene of summer soirees and events. Plans for our sensory garden and woodland is well underway. At the very front and side of our property we have two large plots of land that we have been cultivating since last year, 2017. Our plans are to create a sensory garden along with a woodland with grasses, flowers, seats and water features so that residents and visitors can retreat to a space outside that will invigorate the senses. Look out for developments regarding the sensory garden next year.
Support For All
Rosevilla has an inclusive policy which promotes equality for all faiths and beliefs. Currently we have holy communion every two weeks on a Tuesday. If residents have a preference we try to arrange this. At crucial times of need we have the support from local religious representatives for visits or phone calls. We want to make the transition into care as peaceful as possible.
