WHAT EXPERIENCE DOES THE REGISTERED CARE MANAGER HAVE?
Peter, our care home manager is a registered nurse with an honours degree in health studies. He has previously worked in numerous NHS hospitals and has brought his knowledge and understanding towards caring to Rosevilla. He has specialist training in Dementia care provision and challenging behaviours. He has been the registered manager at Rosevilla since 2006 and has 31 years experience in working in the health and social care sector. Jessica has worked within Rosevilla since 2015 and been able to gain lots of skills, knowledge and experience.
DO THE OWNERS TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN THE DAY TO DAY RUNNING OF THE HOME?
Rosevilla is family run. Mrs Victoria Nesarajah was one of the original owners and founders of the home and still works with her son and manager Peter Nesarajah, she also lives on site. Together they oversee that the original idea of a home from home is carried on. Registered manager Jessica Bruton has worked at Rosevilla since October 2015 and is qualified to Level 5. Jessica is fully hands on and is proving to be an asset to the team. Deputy manager Sharon Langtree has been working at Rosevilla since November 2002 and joins Jessica as being hands on and supporting the care team. All of our management team are on hand to answer questions, oversee quality and support staff.
CAN I COME FOR A SHORT BREAK?
We have many ladies and gentlemen who visit our home frequently for short periods of time either for a short break, carer break, to recover from an illness or after a hospital stay.
This type of care is called ‘Respite Care’ and in some circumstances, funding is available towards this care by contacting social services.

CAN I BOOK A RESPITE?
We don’t normally book a respite in advance as we accept emergency admissions on a regular basis, but we can certainly have discussions regarding this if the need arises. Our management team would be happy to help and talk about any options available.
DO YOU OFFER EMERGENCY RESPITE CARE?
We offer emergency Respite Care subject to availability, please contact the management team on 01925 228637.
Our staff will be happy to advise you out of hours and direct you to someone who can help you at these times.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A RESPITE BREAK/STAY TO SEE IF I SETTLE IN AT ROSEVILLA RESIDENTIAL HOME AND CAN I COME BACK ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS?
Yes, of course, we offer short break/Respite stays as many times as you need.

HOW DO I KNOW THE HOME IS RIGHT FOR ME AND CAN MEET MY NEEDS?
Our home manager can meet with you and your family to discuss your needs and wishes to ensure that we can meet your care needs and to ensure that we are the right sort of home for you. We would encourage you to meet our staff and come and look around our home to reassure you of what we offer and how we run. If social services are involved a needs assessment will be put in place which will show the level of care and the type of care you or your family member needs. Our staff would help you every step of the way to help you in your decisions and with any advice you may need.
HOW WOULD I MAKE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE HOME?
Rosevilla has a robust formal complaints procedure within the home, this information is included as part of your welcome pack or can be requested at any time. We would always encourage any problems to be made known to us and we will always endeavour to resolve any problems you may have, whether that be face to face or through a family member, however there is a policy in place to guide you through any complaint you may have.
WILL I BE REGISTERED WITH A LOCAL GP?
Yes – if you are already registered with one of our local surgeries this will remain the same. If you are from outside the area we can arrange for you to be registered locally if you prefer. We can also arrange any district nurse visits you may require.
WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE MY CARE PLAN AND MEDICATION NOTES?
Yes, you can request to see your Care Plan and notes at any time.
CAN I BRING MY OWN BELONGINGS?
Yes, of course! We encourage our residents to bring along their personal belongings, furniture and pictures to personalise their room and make it their own.
HOW OFTEN WILL MY LAUNDRY BE COLLECTED?
Laundry will be collected from your room daily and is usually returned the next day.
CAN MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY VISIT WHENEVER THEY CHOOSE?
Yes.
CAN I ARRANGE TO HAVE A PRIVATE TELEPHONE IN MY ROOM AND HOW DO I PAY FOR THIS?
There are telephone points in all our rooms, we can arrange connection of the phone and bills will be sent directly to you or your designated bill payer.
CAN I KEEP MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS SOMEWHERE SAFE?
Yes, you can keep your personal belongings in the office if desired and you can also have your own personal key for your room if you so wish.
HOW DO I PAY FOR CARE?
Our weekly fees are based on an assessment of the needs of the individual at the time they come into the home and this is reviewed on-going. Fees are paid either by the resident, their family members or social services, in some cases there is a combination of both, based on your entitlements.

WILL THE COST OF CARE RISE IN THE FUTURE?
We are very happy to talk to you in more detail about the cost of care. An initial assessment of the cost of your individual care will be made as you come into the home and this will be regularly reviewed. It is likely to increase as your care needs change.

WILL MY FEE BE DIFFERENT IF I PAY PRIVATELY?
No. Rosevilla Residential Home promotes a very transparent fee system. Our fees are guided by the local councils who we closely work with. Rosevilla Residential Home does not charge third party or top up fees.
